■Background
Around the world, toys such as Lego blocks are utilized for “Play Therapy” in order to improve the communication skills of children with developmental disorder or children with gray zone (not being diagnosed with developmental disorder, but being recognized to have several symptoms of developmental disorder). This therapy was brought into Japan because it would be an important experience for children with developmental disorders.
“Senrioka Nakayoshi Club Manuka” is a warm, welcoming, and interactive club where children learn how to interact with friends through playing. You will be able to experience a sense of achievement and satisfaction as well as to see children’s exciting smiles.

You will interact with children through playing and talking with them. For example, you will play Lego together, enjoy coloring books, or play collaborative games.
*There will be a maximum of 8 children including elementary school children. (Currently children from 5 years old to 14 years old are coming to play.)

■Requirement
-This is a long-term volunteer so that you can build a strong relationship with children.
-At the same time, in order to continue this long-term volunteer, it is ideal if you live closer to Minami-Senri station because you have to pay your own transportation fee.
-Additionally, it would be helpful if you know a little bit of how to greet people in Japanese. (Children learn how to say “thank you”, “you’re welcome”, etc.)
